Age groups and cost differentials. There is no set rule, but the relationship is:
- Pole vaulters under 15 years old haven't grown too tall yet. They have also not built up their bodies either. The vaulting poles are smaller and cost on average between A$400 and A$500 dollars each.
- Pole vaulters 16 years old and older are taller, gradually faster and increasingly more powerful, definitely needing bigger poles. Their vaulting poles cost anywhere between A$500.00 and over A$1000.00 dollars each.
