December to March.
1) Special Competition preparation. 2) Peak period.
The objectives of the early competition phase are to reach and stabilize top form and to prepare the athlete for the most important competitions of the cycle. Active recovery and avoidance of injury.
By evolving an optimal blend of competitions and specific training a further increase in performance should be expected within 3-4 weeks. Fine-tuning. The major focus competition of this period falls into this phase.
